Skye Borgman is an award-winning director and cinematographer.   In 2010, Skye  created Top Knot Films, a boutique production company dedicated to creating extraordinary content that reflects the world that we live in.  Skye has shot over 50 films and documentaries, traveled to over 60 countries and lived on three continents.  Her global experiences guide her vision, thought and approach to her work.  Skye’s varied adventures give her the unique ability to connect with all types of personalities.  She has filmed rockstars, murderers, drug addicts, Buddhist monks, Academy award winners, and anarchist chocolate makers.

Skye’s most recent work can be seen on Netflix: “Sins Of Our Mother” chronicles the Lori Vallow story. “I Just Killed My Dad” looks at the effects of long term abuse on a child, and “Girl In The Picture” is a decades long search for the identity of a young woman.  You can  also see Skye’s work in episodes of Unsolved Mysteries and Trial by Media.  “Dead Asleep” on Hulu, asks the question of whether or not a young man was conscious when he stabbed his roommate to death and “The Case Died With Her” on Oxygen examines the last days of a young woman’s life and explores the ramifications of a relationship with her coach.  Skye's film, "Abducted In Plain Sight" took the world by storm and has been hailed as “the craziest documentary ever” when it launched on Netflix in 2019.
